Another year has passed and this year, we had our Annual Dinner at MO Hotel... Nothing special cause I’m still 1 of the crew who do all the backend technical works right back at the console area...

Nothing much to write as it is always merry + noisy + happenings... This year, our AD was themed "Bollywood”… So, lets not waste time to blog on the overall event and get on to see how everyone is dressed up and posing for memorable shots…

Club VP’s Wedding @ 10/12/2006

VP has left us, the club and SP for a better career advancement… Apart from his sudden decision to leave the company, he has also given us another surprise. Yes! VP is getting married on the same day of SP’s Annual Dinner which he has his wedding reception at his kampong, Kedah… But because that it is compulsory for all staff to attend SP’s Annual Dinner + the far travel distance to the land of padi, we are unable to attend to his wedding ceremony. Sorry ler... VP... :

Inter-Div Badminton Tournament ’06 @ 2/12/2006

Well… It’s the annual Inter-Division Badminton Tournament again… As usual, we ( the same batch of club’s committee ) is organizing and coordinating this event again from F&B preparation, professional judgement as lines man, prize giving to venue clean up… Though tired for these 2 days but another successful event… moreover, it was also the 1st time we has this event at our very own, newly completed Setia Badminton Academy, Setia Alam… : )

My Secondary Schoolmate, ML’s Wedding @ 5/11/2006

Got a wedding invitation from 1 of my secondary schoolmate, ML via Friendster… which I never thought of getting 1 from so… I guess Friendster really helps in stay connected with friends.

Besides, I also happen to met 1 of my primary schoolmate who had been lost contacted for almost 16 yrs…He is the buddy who sat beside me when I was in primary Std 6 and also the 1 whom I buli by kicking him / his chair away from the desk when he refused to give in on my unreasonable request / to let me compare and copy his Math’s homework especially… shh… : P

Mm… To my buddy 16 yrs ago, LS, best wishes to you and do keep in touch… ; )

DT Love Can Concert Live in M’sia @ 28/10/2006

DT Love Can Concert was supposed on May when I went to Perhentian Island for diving but then was rescheduled to Oct due to DT got his hand injured where he can’t play his guitars… Though it was a bad news to DT but it has given me a chance to catch his concert…

After a long wait + postpone of the concert, I finally can make a date with my lover, DT… : D Future more, because of Alv’s friendship with the organizer, Galaxy which was built when he in-charged the Night of Stars event, he has got me a VVIP ticket… : D

The concert was superb grand with the great performance and powerful showmanship by DT… His look, his talent, his songs… omg… I’m totally fascinated and drawn, how I wish that DT can sing by my side every nite… But of course, when the concert and imagination ended, Alv is still the 1 for me lar… ^_^ ~ shy shy nia… ~

My Colleague, SN’s Wedding @ 7/10/2006

I attended to 2 colleague’s wedding on a single invitation at Seremban lately… Lucky it was a 1st Saturday off, I tumpang bro Stephen’s car to the bride’s hotel early morning… As usual, few of my gal colleagues were also there to be her “ji mui” and fooled the groom and his “heng dai” during the bride receiving… At night, we transformed to become the usher of the wedding dinner and the whole wedding ceremony was like 1 of our SP’s company event… Why? Because almost all guests are SP’s staff lor… How come? Because both the groom and bride are also SP’s long served staff, our colleagues lor… : P

Umm... it was really a well-prepared, grand and greatly done wedding ceremony… To both the bride and groom ( SN & W ), congratulation & wishing you a wonderful marriage life with your love one…: )

Inter-Div Bowling Tournament ’06 @ 23/9/2006

Nothing different… Again, this year we had our annual Inter-Division Bowling Tournament at IOI Mall, Puchong. Well… not participating… but organizing and coordinating the activity as usual, from buying of H2O for all our participated team players to a runner of the said event. In fact, I’m actually not feeling well on this day, poor me & Algy… We need a successor… : (

FIABCI Dinner ’06 at MO Hotel @ 4/9/2006

SP won 2 of its major awards this year from FIABCI Malaysia Property Award, the Best Master Plan Development for Setia Eco Park & Best Residential Development ( Low-rise ) for Duta Nusantara… As a celebration, our boss bought 5 tables for staff from these 2 projects to enjoy the pride together in the awards giving nite…

Ehh… I’m not from any of these projects but as a mobile sales team member / sales ambassador of Setia Eco Park project, I was being invited to join the pride, thanks to Alex for his invitation / given opportunity… and, this is also the 1st time I attended to an official corporate dinner... : P

SPSB Family Day ’06 @ 19/8/2006

This year, we had our annual family day at Desa Water Park… Nothing is special, only those normal dry and wet tele-matches.

As usual, I took part in 1 of those dry tele-match games along with our staff's children cause I’m not prepared to get wet. Well... I have to say that we've lost in that respective match and my team wasn’t the overall winner as well… : ( How come? Of course it wasn’t because of the lost game that I've took part in lar… It just that my team wasn't as active as the others all these years ler… : S

S.R.J.K (C) Lai Meng Reunion @ 5/8/2006

Don’t know why and how… I’m 1 of those who being called and told that there will be a gathering for my former Std 6 classmates but, it was ended up a big reunion dinner for all students from my primary school… No regret although it seems like being cheated at the very first place cause we have manage to contact back >15 of my former Std 6 classmates after the said reunion.

So, fellow 6M Class of 1990 mates, hope this chaining could continue to chain more of our classmates back into a circle, stay in touch and keep going. For those whom 1 missed out to personally chat with, miss you all… take care and do keep in touch… ; )

Night of The Stars @ 29 & 30/7/2006

Ya! It’s the mega concert duty… Eventually, this event has got nothing related with my core / my role as mobile sales team. What happened here is… I bugged Alv to put me on duty for these 2 days mega concert so that I could catch these 2 spectacular nights since this event was in charged by Alv… : P

Hey… I’m not play play you know… I was darn busy from morning till late night for these 2 days event leh… From packing of paper bags for VIPs, arranging those paper bags, welcoming guests and stand the whole night for both days till leg ache duh… How I find the overall event? Of course both were very successful lor… : ) Despite than the great performance by Victor Wong & Emil Chau ( Day 1 ) + M Nasir & Siti Nurhaliza ( Day 2 )… I have to also give both thumbs up to Alv… for all the hard works that he has done! b ^_^ d

5th WWF Canoe Challenge @ 2/7/2006

Not much changes on this year where our Sport Club is still coordinating the participation @ Tasik Titiwangsa. As usual, committee gotto work voluntarily…This time, we decorated our tent with our newly launched 18+18 warranty campaign buntings from our 2 major projects in Klang Valley… Though the end result wasn’t what we aimed for, which is 1 rank lower than our aimed Top 5… but we did shown our greatest teamwork again to all our competitors especially during the mystery challenge after every 10th loops… So, let’s give ourselves a big round of applause Setia-rians… : )

SPSF Charity Dinner ’06 @ 1/7/2006

Umm… this year I’m not involving in this charitable event, I was just being invited to the event as backup to covers any overlooked technical related matter if there a need. Why? Because this year’s Charity Dinner is different from what we used to have previously where we usually put up a musical show loh… Instead, we engaged an event organizer to brings in PCK Private Ltd Live!

Muahahaha… PCK Private Ltd, best in S’pore and some said JB. Don’t play play duh… : P

B’day Gift @ 30/6/2006

As usual, I took a day off on this special day for nothing but to pamper myself… Oh come on! I don’t want to work as a cow on this day… : P

When I woke up about noon time for my spa treat, I found a little gift + card on top of the bed side table… Yes! It’s from Alv… : D While wondering since when he bought all these without my awareness, I slowly open up my gift + the lovely bear designed b’day card… Though it’s just a small little gift + a simple but meaningful sentence written on card, I already felt my smile from the bottom of my heart… I truly felt that I’m being loved by the one I loves… sweet and being cherished… as if I'm having the most wonderful thing on earth… : D

I then, went for my spa appointment… When I was in the midst of having my full body massage, a delivery man called and tells me that he wanted to send me a flower bouquet but there is no one at home. So, without hesitate, I requested the delivery man to send the flower bouquet to beauty saloon and my therapist acknowledged the receipt on behalf while I was enjoying the milk bath… Yes! It’s my favorite white roses which has been carefully wrapped into a nice and lovely bouquet… : D

Thx to Alv for his love and all the wonderful arrangement… You’ve light up my life… ^_^

A Vendor of Mine... @ 25/6/2006 - Part II

This is the continuation of my earlier blog on this vendor of mine where he & his honey finally make it till the wedding bells ring… : D What happened next? I received a "red boom" and attended his wedding dinner together with Alv + another male colleague who is also work quite close with him at Klang lor... : P

My Aqua Pets @ 17/6/2006

Without knowing what reason, I also got myself a small little aquarium lately… Perhaps it’s a chain reaction after seeing Jo’s blog on her neon tetra fishes + MC’s blog on her colourful aquarium when she got herself injured and Colbert wasn’t around… I wanted very much for just to have a tiny fish bowl with a little small fish inside but... end up having a small aquarium after being “ voodoo-ed ” by Alv. And now, I have a little tiny fish bowl with fighting fish on my workplace and a small little aquarium which is colourful decorated into nice environment with > dozen of oriental fishes " tumpang-ing " at Alv's house... : D

What A Bad Day @ 11/6/2006

11th June 2006, a day which I suppose to on duty for our Motor Festival event, the Setia Alam Link pre-launch carnival. It was a dizzling fresh morning, I started my car and go to work follow the same route as usual...

With my car radio turned on and driving at approx. 90km/hr... I passed the LDP USJ Toll and turned into ELITE USJ Toll to collect the entrance toll ticket. Soon after I took the ticket, I picked up my car till approx. 70km/hr and stop paddle the oil paddle so that my car will slow down till approx. 50km/hr for me to turn up to ELITE Highway as what I did usual... But bad thing happened... Immediate after I turned in the curve up to ELITE, I felt my car tires slips towards and beyond the inner ring. In a shock of seconds, I turn my sterling wheel to my right without second thought and, in return, a blur mind + a crashed car... About 5 seconds after the crash, only I realized that my car had made a 360 degree turn and crashed onto the center divider... and I knew I had to go through all the trouble procedures to get my car insurance coverage. This is also my 1st time lodging a police report in Sunway Police Station since I’ve been going in and out from police station when I was young.

And, worst still... the repair works took me about 3 months for things like troublesome claim procedure, defects after repair work etc where I had to borrow my sis's car for temporary use. Thanks to Karen for lending out her car for approx. 2 months, Ever + Ed for their help in holding back the claim release and borrow out their 2nd car when my sis took back her car for study, bro Stephen + Wallis for their help in sending me thru & flow to workshop and Alv in coordinating all the necessary liaisons matters. After all, I had finally got back my " loyal workmate cum partner " after a long wait......

Autocross Challenge @ 21/5/2006

In conjunction with the completion of Setia Alam Interchange / Setia Alam Link ( which is formerly known as NKVE - Jalan Meru Link ), we organized an autocross challenge event inviting participants from Porsche & Lotus Club to test drive our newly completed highway with their high speed and stunning driving skills such as obstacles undertaking / figure 8 turn whilst driving in high speed, drifting etc...

I'm on duty at Setia Eco Park Show Village that event day... where we witness the convoy of all Porsche and Lotus into our show village for track briefing and breakfast prior the challenge.... Nice car... but all are uncles and guy with their other half liao... Sigh... : S I experienced on how you should sit in and climb out from a Lotus car in the show village while participants / owner were enjoying their lunch after the end of stun challenge section... it isn't that easy huh... its too low... and it not that convenient to ladies driver... How's the stun challenge goes along? Eh... I don't really had a chance to watch every round of the stun challenge because the track was located near the toll booth where we need to drive out from the show village... bad rite? Nah... I don't really bother about watching the challenge cause I have a more exciting thing to try and enjoy... : P

Soon after the prize giving session, we closed our highway for an hour test drive... And guess what?... I experienced on how fast a Porsche can go... : P Nope... I didn't drive the red Porsche although I was given a chance, I sat on the passenger seat instead... Not dare lar... Too $$$ and fast ler... after scratch how oh? >RM 1.2 mil leh... =_=" ( a bit of regret now... ) How it feels? The feeling is darn good man... Imagine... a S-turn at approx. 120km/hr to avoid a motocycle while we were on the way out to the highway... a speeding up to approx. 180km/hr in just a few seconds and made a U-turn at approx. 180km/hr before the toll booth.... Wow... and the best part is... speeding up to approx. 260+km/hr along the highway... Whew... I bet you wouldn't have that kind of chances to speed when the highway is officially open to public on Thurs, 15 June 2006. A exciting day to me... : )

Grease The Musical @ 16/5/2006

Grease, the musical... reminds me my participation in SPSF Charity Dinner Performance Y2004, the Kampong 50's Magic. Why? Because that show was actually a mimic to Grease loh... : D Where songs such as Summer Nights, Rock & Roll Party Queen, Look at Me I'm Sandra Dee, Those Magic Changes, We Go Together, Born To Hand Jive and the most famous Greased Lightnin' etc... flashed back into my memories... Those were the days where we were practicing, where we were tired... where we were on stage... and, where we celebrated our performance succession.

My colleague, AT, who is also 1 of the SPSF CD '04 performer joint me for the show. We chat throughout the show... sang along with performers... each and every scene... where everything is so familiar to us in those days... Pity my youngest sis, Winnie whom I took her together to the show as companion and for her expose to stage musical show... cause she couldn't recall what had her sis, me performed in those days although she had watched the VCD for many times... : S

The show took placed at Plenary Hall, KL Convention Centre, which is a new venue to me cause for those pass musicals that I've attended were all staged at Istana Budaya... And overall, the show is good... with some minor mistakes here and there like follow spot projection, stage positioning for example which may be because it's the premier show where performers and crews are yet to familiarize the stage set up as usual / norm in all kind of stage performance.

My Frens' Wedding @ 12/5/2006

This is about my frens’ wedding again… I had a total of 3 "red bomb" in the month of May which I attended all of them… and the conclusion is ? I’m broke liao… : ( Here is 1 of my colleague's wedding pics on the "guo mun" day... with Smart as his "heng dai cheh" ( brothers' car )... cool duh... : P

Anyway, I’m more than happy to know that all of them are going to starts their new journey of life… Cheers to my colleague - uncle Ray & Emily, cousin brother Chi Choong & Chin Yin, and Alv's cousin brother & cousin sister-in-law, congratulation & may your marriage life a wonderful one…: )

Perhentian Island Dive @ 4/5/2006

Yup… its another dive trip. I have not been diving since I got my OWD license... thus, this is gonna be the 1st time I step my feet on Perhentian Island and also my 1st ever leisure dive since I “graduated”… ( last year only mer... )... : P


I only manage to do 4 dives during my 5D4N stay at Perhentian… Reasons being is I don’t have a dive buddy with same dive level as me coz J “ffk“ last minute... VP + Alv is taking their AOWD certification course and other 6 going for their OWD course... : (
However, VP did brought along our Setia Dive Master, Vic… Thanks to Vic for being my dive buddy or else I wouldn’t have the chance to tryout my very 1st multilevel dive ( 2nd dive ) which suppose can be done by certified AOWD only…Multilevel dive means you will dive up and down and, slowly escalate the depth till last touring at the safety stop depth level in order to balance back your compression level, where you don’t need a physical safety stop before surface… : D

I’ve also tried the wreck dive ( 4th dive ) which is approx. 23m / 65 feet depth with 1 of the combat diver from TUDM as my dive buddy… Wreck dive is consider as an deep dive which also suppose can only be done by certified AOWD because the skill is totally different as compared to what’ve certified OWD learnt. The feeling is like… something heavy pressing on your heart that caused you having difficulty in breathing where you need to learn more skills in AOWD course / to be skillful enough to control your breathing + buoyancy because this is due to lung compression when you dive. The deeper you dive, the harder you breathe… and of course also the faster your oxygen tank will exhaust.

Other than that, your stamina also needs to be strong when there is current during your dive because you may need to fight against the current in order to tour around the dive site / surface back to your boat or else, if you opt to do drift dive to save your energy underwater, you will probably ends up surfaced far away from where you back-rowed and you have no choice but swim all the way back to the boat. Luckily I didn’t able to complete the other deep dive ( 3rd dive ), I surfaced once I’ve touched down to bottom at approx. 60 feet depth because strong current took place and it kept pushing me away from my buddy + water goes into my mask… that’s also where Vic they all met a big group of trigger fish and they have to swim hardly and tiredly to escape from being attack. I wouldn’t be able to escape if I’m down under the water cause my stamina is poor… further more I don’t know how to swim… Sigh… : S As for my 1st dive, I only able to stay at approx. 12m depth and instead of goes down till bottom at 18m depth because I can’t equalize my ears, it was terrible painful… most likely its because that I had stop diving for quite some time and my body not used to the pressure at that point of time / too tired / imbalance of body pressure after flight boarding gua... But overall, we do had an enjoyable and fun dive trip together where all came home with extra nicknames such as "Ramli", "Kopi" etc… : P

…the worst day diving is better than the best day working… =_=

Magical Disney On Ice '06 @ 11/4/2006

Disney… What a magical world… In conjunction with the 20% discounted corporate rate, I brought my youngest sis, Winnie to watch the Disney On Ice show during this Prophet Muhammad P/Holiday together with Alv… I can still remember that my beloved dad used to buy us lots of Disney video tape when we were young… Jungle Books, Mary Poppins, Little Mermaid, Oliver Twist, Lady and The Tramp etc… He loves us so much till we all then turned to be a Disney kid… Thanks dad who had given us a wonderful child life although our financial wasn’t good at all during our younger days.

I’m now a grown up and I wish that my small little sis got a chance to watch DOI cause none of us had got a chance to watch this kind of show before… and further more, dad is no longer here to buy us anymore tics… : ( Feedback ? Well… I wouldn’t say that it’s a big grand show… but it does win all children heart, and some said grown ups too… : )
