Nesting At New Office @ 29/12/2007

I was busy packing + shifting these few days since I’m back to work after my sis’s wedding, and today we‘ve finally completed our office moving. Yup! We are now able to have our own office block ( at last… phew… ) instead of sharing the same office with Setia Alam. So, what else can we do except moving fast? We’ve been waited for this moment almost a year and we’ve also had enough of looking at others’ face colors. Hehe… : P Oya, for those of you who may know a little, I can finally get rid of somebody’s face and need not to see the action body language anymore… Yeah...! : D

How I find my new work place? Hmm… I don’t know about Feng Shui, so, I wouldn’t know how good / bad is my work desk. But what I can see now is our divisional staffs are getting closer and closer … and of course my mood is also getting better than before… : ) Here’s how my new work place look like:~

My Dearest Sis, Sam’s Wedding @ 24/12/2007

Yup! Sis Sam is getting married…!! Please don’t ask me how I felt because I myself don’t even know how to answer… All I know was my sis has finally found a new meaning in live that she is be loved by someone whom she loved besides than the sharing and tender caring.

One could say this was a 3 days event of which, we ( the bride family ) hosted our wedding reception dinner at Spring Valley Restaurant, Mid Valley on 22/12/2007, Sam’s bachelorette dinner buffet + “siong tao” ceremony at home on 23/12/2007, official wedding ceremony on 24/12/2007 morning and finally the groom family wedding reception dinner at Seremban. Phew… what a mind + soul + body tiring marathon event… =_=”’

Words just can’t describe, everything is felt by our heart. To dear sis Sam & bro-in-law, Koh, wishing you both a wonderful marriage, may love showered your journey living happily ever after as one entity… ^_^

My Course Mate, Mich’s Wedding @ 15/12/2007

Soon after we back from Koh Samui holiday + a day of rest, Mich & Col tie the knot on this date and hosted their wedding dinner reception at Top Hat Restaurant, KL. Though it was just a wedding reception without the traditional “chut mun” ceremony, it has already made those who involved from the pre till post dinner tasks a tiring day especially the bride and groom. Just imagine a 4hrs wedding dinner that spent 10hrs+ all in all from bridal makeup which starts from 2pm, car decoration, guests’ attendance, buffet dinner, tossing, tidying of couple belongings etc until we head back to the couple’s love nest about midnight.

Dear Mich & Col, may your wedding blessed with lot of love till the end of road… ^_^

Koh Samui Holiday @ 9/12/2007 ~ 13/12/2007

After much planning and scheduling, we finally able to travel in group again… V^_^V This time, we went to Koh Samui Thailand in a group of 9 people, Mich & Colbert + Jo & Nix + Calvin & Yuki + Rachel + Nixon and me, 3 couples… and each couple brings 1 “lamp post”. Hehe… : P

We spent 5D4N staying at Weekender Hotel in Lamai Koh Samui, visited to several places of interest like Hinta Hinyai ( Grandfather and Grandmother Rocks ), Wat Phra Yai ( Big Buddha ) colored temple, Wat Khunaram ( Mummified Monk ) antique statues, elephant trekking at Namuang Waterfall, island hoping + snorkeling at Koh Pha-Ngan, Koh Nang Yuan & Koh Tao, motor-biking to Chaweng, self-exploring Lamai, jalan-jalan cari makan near your hotel etc etc… Other than that, I also met my ex-colleague + family lawyer, Howelee who went for diving trip with his fellow buddies. It’s a waste that I couldn’t find any extra time to join his gang for even a single wonderful dive. : (

Yo… Let’s paint the town RED…! Yes! It’s the theme for this year annual dinner and red is our theme color. : D Same as the previous year, nothing much difference except that this year everybody were in their respective red colored and themed attire. As for me, I no longer decide what I wish to wear as my division has opted for the Egyptian theme. So, apa buat lagi? We tailor made our Pharaoh, Cleopatra and Gladiator dinner outfit lor. Ehh... My New Mobile Play Toy… @ 27/11/2007

I finally changed my Nokia 6111 mobile phone after 2 years of usage. Yup! It’s the pairing mobile that I bought back in Y2005 with anonymous of which I had chosen the white color and his is the black one.

To be honest, the old buddy Nokia 6111 still looks good and still able to serve me well for my daily usage beside than it’s also the friendliest + handiest mobile phone which I ever had. But… I just wish to have a change after much unhappy memories which lay together with the mobile itself. Therefore, I decided to change a brand new mobile play toy after much consideration since the SE W580i launched and it’s definitely not because I have much $ to spend, Nixon-san. : P

Tadaa… Here's my cutie pink lady... : D

Angel’s Prosperity Treat @ 23/11/2007

Hmm… Let’s see… Angel’s sincere 4D number prayer wish during our recent Pangkor Island trip had been granted. Though it wasn’t a big $ kind of winning, but Angel still generously bought us a dinner at Wings Café, Bandar Puteri on this date.

We were not just had fun, enjoyed the food + drinks ( both cocktails & mocktails ) and songs throughout the nite. Indeed, me and Algy even rushed out to Secret Recipe Bandar Puteri, took away few slices of indulgence cake and enjoyed at the café itself after we have successfully forced the closed cashier to sell their cake to us. Yummy yummy… : )~ Last, thanks to Angel again for her prosperity meal treat. Hope she will be more "ong" in "numeric field" for the coming year, so that we could have another meal treat again… a big one huh… : P

My Course Mate, Long’s Wedding @ 17/11/2007

We can hardly see Long in his nicely ironed suit, except for his final major project’s presentation back in college time several years ago and… today, his wedding day. Yes, it is Long’s wedding… Really can’t imagine a guy who used to behave tidak apa like him will be the 1st one who got married among all the guys duh… Anyway, there is no doubt that Long belongs to the responsible man category who can be counter on geh... : P Besides, we also have to thanks to Long’s wedding lunch reception which has indirectly turned to be 1 of our gathering to catch up with each others.

To Long & Joey, congratulations and wishing you both a wonderful marriage life. : )

Deeparaya Luncheon ‘07 @ 14/11/2007

This year, SP organized the Deeparaya Luncheon again at Setia Alam after 2 years gap. It was nothing much different since it was held at the same venue except, some added spices like traditional Malay + Indian dance performance, games participation and songs dedications.

As usual, staffs from Klang Valley projects were invited to join the luncheon from 12pm to 2pm+ where we can see staff from almost all business units attended. Some even made themselves free from hectic workload and have fun with those pre-arranged program besides than enjoying the food. Eh... I didn’t take part / pay much attention in any of those games, indeed, I was busy grabbing food and happily stuffing those food into the hungry stomach with my fellow colleagues. : P

Pangkor Island Trip @ 8/11/2007 ~ 10/11/2007

After many years and can't remember how many times of "N.A.T.O", I finally manage to visit my colleague, Cheng’s kampong with a bunch of my other colleagues, Algy + Meilee + Angel and Mike during the recent Deepavali break which is planned in conjunction with Cheng’s balik kampong schedule.

We started of our journey after Algy has picked us + bro Mike up at Rawang. With bro Mike “excellent” driving skill, we reached Lumut Port less than the expected time even though we stop over at Bidor for its famous “Duck Drumstick Mee”. We then met up with uncle Cheng at Pangkor Port after about 30min travel on boat to 1st drop off our baggage at his house before we started our jalan-jalan time with our rented MPV.

We managed to tour around the whole Pangkor Island, had fun on water activities such as canoeing + jet skiing, market shopping, local food + seafood hunting, visit to tourist places like sate fish factory + temples + leftover British Fort etc in this 3D2N trip where, someone even managed to pray for 4D numbers during the visit to 1 of the local temple tim… Ahem… : P Besides, we have also turned Cheng’s dad’s AV Room into a “choh dai d” and lepak room at nite. Hehe…

Overall, this was an enjoyable trip to all of us with fun and memorable moments + laughter. Thanks to uncle Cheng for his generous home stay offer to us so that we could save some $ on accommodation at his harmony home. : ) Eh, uncle Cheng… when you will balik kampong again hah? : D

Steamboat Buffet At Mizi Shabu-Shabu @ 7/11/2007

It has been a long time I didn’t gather with my female ex-colleague where today, we finally able to gather around for some updates. This gathering session was initiated by my ex-colleague Ellis who has left SP >6 months and it took place at Mizi Shabu-Shabu Buffet, Bandar Puteri which cost RM 25 per person. Those who joined the dinner were Ellis, Liching, Meilee + myself and it was a bit disappointed / sayang that Algy won’t able to join us. The variety of food is so-so only as there are mostly balls / inexpensive type. So, you can basically forget about this if you are looking for sumptuous food unless you are a big eater / wish to let go the greedy human nature.

We then changed place to 1 Station, Bandar Puteri for further catch up / chatting after the buffet dinner as the steamboat venue was too noisy + inconvenient to talk in seated row. Talk and talk and talk, women tend to forgot about the timing once they started to do girls talk. So, as soon as we realized that the clock has already passed 12 midnight + we still have to work tomorrow, we quickly settled the bill without delay and waved goodbye to each other. When can we gather again? Well… I think it needs some time to plan ler since everyone is busy working in different companies. : (

FIABCI Dinner ’07 at 1 World Hotel @ 27/10/2007

This year our boss bought almost 30 tables for staff from all business units / projects ( from North to South + Oversea ) to join the pride as Tan Sri Liew has won the Property Man of The Year in this year’s FIABCI Malaysia Property Awards. Thanks to my colleague, Sam who passed me her invitation card due to her unavailability in last minute.

This is the my 1st visit to 1 World Hotel, Bandar Utama ( next to 1U Shopping Complex ) of which the grand ballroom is big enough to host around 130 tables. Food is normal but it doesn’t affect much on the night because the main objective for all SP’s staff is to celebrate our boss’s winning. Despite than the given honored award, the boss has also set our target awards for next year’s FIABCI. Haiz… looks like everyone ought to work harder and harder to support our boss lor... =.="

Thanks to Bernard + Vivian who pick me along to the corporate dinner and Eric who sent me home after dinner. : )

Divisional Nite Outing @ 26/10/2007

Well… I attended my 1st divisional nite outing after I’ve join Setia Eco-Park which is held Holiday Villa, Subang tonite. And this also seems to be an annual night outing sponsored by my Divisional GM because they had this at the same venue last year too to celebrate after a year of hard work.

Great job everybody! No work today! ” is our outing theme tonite where, this chain effect has already started since morning I must say because every one of us were casually working around the whole day. When the night falls, we head to the venue in groups and started of our outing with buffet dinner in a hall which is solely booked + occupied by us. Yes! We blocked the whole dance floor for this happening celebration party… : D

Dining, singing, dancing, chatting, pool, beer etc etc… We had more than enough fun tonite and it is definitely an enjoyable outing to me of which, you can hardly see an organization goes crazy all together from the top to bottom till everybody seems drunk. Hehe… : P Emm… I’m 1 of the last person who left the party after its ended because we went for the 2nd round at the next hall until the club ends it operation hour 3 in the morning. Thanks to my colleague, Eric who safely sent me home though I’m drunk and he is also partly drunk.

Not forgetting our big boss, Mr. K for his outing treat and also my fellow “playful” colleagues that have made this outing fun + memorable to me. Kudos everyone! Let’s look forward to another fruitful year… ^_^

Hehe… : )

An Offline Message from Monitor @ 16/10/2007

Dear Mun Mun,

Sometimes, the road we embark on in life takes a sharp turn and we find ourselves afraid, feeling lost, sad that we dont know what is to happen ahead....but that is life.

You have walked a portion of your life with someone. But now, this someone has to part ways with you. We never know what to expect, we never know what to do, but we still continue walking, because we have to.

Once the dust settles, the tears dry and the pain eases, the walking gets easier. You wont know what the next bend may bring, but you are stronger now, because of all that you have seen and faced and been through from all the walking you have done.

So hold your chin up, there is a lot more walking to be done, its not the destination, but the journey. : )

Kevin

Take care my friend! : )

Thanks to another colleague to mine, Pauline for lending me the bathroom of her new house at Setia Alam so that I can get myself showered and changed before heading down to Klang Centro for Irene’s wedding dinner. There’s about 4 tables of our divisional staff attended the dinner and we were just enjoying ourselves as if our little sister’s wedding. Hahaha… hope we didn’t spoilt / give a bad impression to both her parent and in-law though… : P

To Irene & Alvin, may your marriage life shower by happiness all the time. : D

Site Hoarding… @ 10/10/2007

Omg! sis Karen ought to stay under the hot sun + thunder storm 24/7 for the coming 6 months at least… Huh? Wondering what I’ve been talking at?? Yup! Is the picture of sis Karen + me + anonymous which is being enlarged and set as the site hoarding at one of the construction site in Setia Alam.

Which part? Well, it is located at the shop lot area named Eramas 8 in Precinct 8 of Setia Alam project. If you come in from Setia Alam toll via NKVE, you will have to drive all the way, by pass both the interchange until you exit to Jalan Meru, then you will be able to see the hoarding on your left. Or, if you come to Setia Alam via Jalan Meru itself, the hoarding on your right before you reach the u-turn / flyover to Setia Alam. Ok ok… I know none of you will come to Setia Alam for no reason lar… Here is how the hoarding looks like lor, ok mei? : P

Since I’m just back from the S’pore runaway trip, what’s more that I could have on my desktop…? Of course, it is going to be 1 of our group photo taken during the trip lor… : P

This group photo was taken at the VIP lounge in Ministry of Sounds ( MoS ) during our clubbing session with big numbers Aileng, MediaCorp Artist / Model and Dave, boss of MoS. Isn’t it nice + memorable to have this as my desktop wallpaper? : )

Salivary Dripping Japanese Buffet At Shogun, 1U @ 7/10/2007

Me and my new colleague Sennie went to Shogun, 1U for a sumptuous Japanese Lunch Buffet today from 12-3pm after we meet at 1U an hour+ earlier to shop for working uniform. The buffet offers numerous varieties of Japanese + some local cuisines of which both me and Sennie ate till our stomach blown. The charges after 10% & 5% tax which is about RM 60 per pax is really worthy for people who are a big eater, especially for those who fancy typical Japanese cuisine rather than just sushi alone.

Base on the cost calculation against ordinary pricing of typical Japanese restaurant, we found that we have to eat at least 30pcs of sashimi in order to make it value for money. Therefore, we had 15pcs of salmon sashimi + 15pcs of grilled unagi each at the 1st round to hit the charged amount and made the remaining rounds as extras to us. We are good in R.O.I ( Return of Investment ) accounting leh? Hehehe… : P Not only that, we also had another round of Guai Ling Gou dessert at Gong Woh Tong together with Sennie’s friends before we head back home with bigger stomach and greater inch tummy… Sigh… there goes all my diet… : (

My Cousin Bro, Ernest’s Wed @ 6/10/2007

If I’m not wrongly remembered, my piano teacher’s wedding was the 1 and only church wedding that I attended many many years ago when I was still in primary school. And today, is the 2nd time… my cousin brother Ernest’s wedding. : D Erm… I don’t know much about Ernest and Margaret love relationship besides that they started off in Uni days secretly i think, but I do glad to see they both finally tied the knot and moving into a lifetime + fixed term commitment. : P

Dear Ernest & Margaret, wishing you both a wonderful marriage life till the end of the road. May God blessed both of you… : )
