爱可以点亮整个世界 – 30Hr Famine ’08 Theme Song

爱可以点亮整个世界 Love Brightens The World
By
30Hr Famine 2008 Ambassador, 光良 Michael Wong

Tomorrow

30Hr Famine Camp ’08 @ 23 ~ 24/8/2008

30Hr Famine, here I come! Wow~ At last, I managed to participate and attend to this charitable event after many disappointments. This year, 30Hr Famine Camp is themed You’ve Got The Power! 给孩子"无穷"的快乐 which mean every one of us does have the power to change a child life. Yes! We definitely have the power! Not by just 1 of us of course, but with every little donation / help from every one of us that could become an absolute power. : )

Besides than the meaningful theme, this is also the first Do It Yourself (DIY) 30Hr Famine Camp with 500 volunteers helped to pull everything together, 7,500 DIY Famine Campers across the nation experienced the 26+4 hours famine and 4,000 countdown participants weathered the blazing sun + pouring rain for the last 4 hours famine at the National Hockey Stadium, Bukit Jalil on Aug 24. This year 30Hr Famine successfully raised RM 1.2M for children living in circumstances far more dire than us and I’m glad that I’m part of this. Kudos to all Famine Warriors! V^.^V

My Son Progress Report ’08 @ 17/8/2008

Besides than my new baby boy, I’ve also received my sponsored son’s progress report when I went back to Ampang home recently. The report contains my child’s greeting, his updated biodata, education + health progress and his latest photo taken by WV Mongolia. He still drew me a Christmas trees + gifts just as previous greeting though it is yet to reach Christmas, guess he must be fancy about Christmas a lot. According to his brother, my sponsor son received jacket + sanitary completion pack ( soap / shampoo / detergent ) as present, eat well + in good health as reported in his medical check up done by WV and received a gymnastic medal in school. Hmm… Other than above updates, his photo also looks differently and looks bigger boy now as compared to his kiddy face last year. Well… what to do? Times flies, his sponsor also getting old le… : (

Me & My Baby Boy… @ 14/8/2008

Finally, I brought home my new baby boy… I named him, Oscar.

Birthdate : 3rd June 2008
Breed : Maltese
Characteristics : Active / Playful, Gluttonous, Temperament, Stubborn, Super Naughty, Tricky, Smart ( that’s why naughty + tricky and hard to teach )
Likes : Playing, Eating, Show temper
Dislike : Fur blowing, Powder bath, Ear cleaning
Favorite Food : Assorted vegetables ( crispy types / bean curd especially ), Meatballs, Mama's nutrition health drink - Herbalife

Erm… It took me quite some hard time to consider before getting him simply because I doubt that I can’t be a good mama / handler and I was also darn worries that I couldn't commit ±15 years to take care of him. However, this thought was then overcome by my “die-die must try” egoism + my “never try never know” stubbornness which then I ended up bought this show dog champion line Maltese puppy back with big lump of grants. Err… I don’t know how long I can hide him away from my apartment’s management, I don’t know how caring I can be and most importantly, I even don’t know how far is my patient / I can stand in taking cares a noisy and naughty baby boy… Well~ guess there’s no use to worry so much, I hope and pray that I can have enough strength to accomplish this commitment.

Sing K With Colleagues At Neway, Puchong @ 12/8/2008

It has been quite some time since Neway, Puchong open for business and this is only my 1st visit to this outlet even though it was situated near to where I’m staying. It has also been a long time since my last k session which I wonder when will be the next time I step into k room if not because of this little b’day celebration for Eric + Alex. =.=”

Both the b’day guys + Cecil + Yong + Sennie and me had our fun time eating + singing in the k room particularly me with lots of grabbed food in line with my newly developed interest months ago, MNS ( Makan Non-Stop )... : D So, even though I’ve fatten a lot + still aggregating weight to date but, I’m still more than happy to eat and regret for 5 min after every big + wholesome meal. Kekekeke… : P

BBQ Party With S&M Dept @ 11/8/2008

I was being invited to join the S&M Dept BBQ Party to celebrate their recent staff promotion + salary increment joy after work today at the Canopy Club. There was nothing special about the barbeque, just a normal one with kampong fish, prawn, lamb, sausages, chicken wings etc. As usual, gals need not to do anything extra where they can just pick from those ready cooked food / place an order since guys were barbequing it. : P Apart from these standard / ordinary varieties of food + services, we also had numerous of durian + mangosteen as our dessert. Thanks to those who being promoted + salary adjusted for this little departmental barbeque party treat so that I can save up my dinner. : )

One World, One Dream @ 8/8/2008

The long awaited day has arrived and the whole World cheered especially the Chinese. Yes! It’s the 2 weeks+ 29th Olympic Y2008 themed One World One Dream 同一个世界 同一个梦想 that is finally official opened on 08/08/08 08:08pm in People Republic of China. As what most of us did, I rushed back home as soon as I off work to catch the grand opening ceremony with my family on Astro channels. Hehe… : D Unlike the 30min delay live telecast on local TV channel, we were all amazed by the grand welcoming + opening countdown formed by 2008 performers after 13 months of hardship / exhausting training especially the human digital clicking countdown clock which was really spectacular and amazing… Bravo! : O Perhaps, as what my bro-in-law said, the more people the easier to get things done duh…

Apart from the great countdown, the Olympic flame lighting moment was also meaningful as if athlete ran and completed the whole Olympic torch run journey. Guess PRC must had put in tons of effort to get this done all the way from conceptual to logical study, from logical design to execution. Real salute to these Chinamen high spirits, I’m glad to be a Chinese and I’m proud of my motherland! ( /‘.’)

Euphoria By MoS, Sunway Pyramid @ 1/8/2008

Me and my fellow colleagues, Sennie + Eric + BG + Cecil and ex-colleague, Sam went to this newly opened night spot, Euphoria by Ministry of Sound recently. Emm… Just as how it’s named, there is definitely no doubt that the sound system was good. : ) Euphoria has two rooms, The Deq at the Mezzanine outdoor area and the main dance area at 1st Floor. There is no specific room’s theme as both the rooms allow patrons dance to different tunes 7 days a week including hip hop, house, breakbeat, experimental, tribal house etc. That night we had our drinks and chit chat session at The Deq and enjoyed our dance at the main dance area till it closed at 3 in the morning. It was really a long forgotten good + fun time for us who has been work + work + work and stressed + stressed + stressed without rest since the last hang out.

5 Days Work… Finally @ 1/8/2008

Hurray…!! After many years of persistence request, SP finally declared its 5 working days system. : D Having admire my 5 days work friends for ages, I can also now practice this 5 days work scheme >>> : P However… this change of work system which supposed to be good + happy doesn’t seems applicable to some of us ( including me ) after having see that we still ought to rotate for sales / club duty during weekends. : ( And, worst still… the club duty time shift has also been changed to morning shift ( 7am-3pm ) and night shift ( 1pm-9pm ) instead of the initial 10am-6pm for both type of duties. Wuwuwu~ Have to scarify my zzz time, pity me… : S

Battling… @ 31/7/2008

This is one of the most difficult project implementation that I handled throughout my years in IT field, not because of system complication / toughness but managing the people. : S

I’ve been advised + heard from all angles before that this particular woman from Finance Dept is hard to deal with and, this time is my turn to experience it. I have no choice but ought to deal with her + her favorite subordinate recently simply because the system involves money collection and account elements although the system ownership belongs to my department for Canopy Club. Guess what has happened? They initiated a battle since the first day both of them stepped their foot into the system implementation stage until everyone else who involved in the project also cannot stand both of them, planted in hard feeling and avoid to deal with / talk to both of them even though it is essential. Why it is so? Because both of them, particularly the subordinate acted as if she is Project Manager giving out instruction to vendor + end users ( my department’s gals ), acted as if she is an Internal Auditor checking + digging fault done by end users, report straight to Senior Manager whenever she succeed in fault finding without knowing the actual picture that has to be tolerate, created a fear factor at workplace until my department’s gals don’t dare to execute operation work due to fear to be caught etc lor… Haiz… Seriously, I have never come across with this kind of project team member before of which, all my team / dept mates from top to down also cannot stand both of them. What a miserable life lately that I have to prepare myself going into battle field almost every day. Sigh… : S
