What A Small Small World @ 24/7/2007

Today… I found out that the 2 "new" friends who I met lately, turns out that they are not as "unfamiliar" as I would normally expect. This has reminded me on Yen’s “It's a small, small, small, small world.........” blog and me too, decided to illustrate my not-so-complicated relationship as below... : )

Inter-Div Paintball Tournament '07 @ 15/7/2007

Wow! My first time on the battle field… hehe… : D Yup, SSRC organized its very first Inter-Division Paintball Tournament on this date and I took part in this event representing my business unit, replacing Sam, my female colleague who is unable to participate due to personal matter.

Short game introduction was being conducted and we were also being briefed on the rules & regulations + safety measurements of the game before the tournament commenced of which; to be honest, I do felt nervous when I first get to know the game because the loud sound of marker shot seems formidable and the safety measurements also makes me felt the game is very much open to vulnerable. However, after I had my first tried on the training night, I started to like the game.

It was the “Last Man Standing” game and my team able went into semi-final after the morning battle session. Due to heavy rain in the afternoon, we break for lunch at Domino Pizza prior the 2nd session due starts. However, the sky doesn’t seem good to us because it was still raining even though after we had our lunch break where then we have no choice but to continue the battle under the rain. I crawled on the wet ooze, ran in the rain and hide behind those dirty obstacles… and finally, we are the champion after the fierce battle. Yeah… v^.^v Nah, I know what you guys are thinking, I just tumpang the pride rite? Hey, I really went down to the battle field one you know… I even got myself hurt with few blue black spots leh… but of course I’m also the least aggressive lah since I’m the only female player in the team. Hehe… : D

Bon Odori ’07 @ 14/7/2007

I have been always wanted to experience how the annual Japanese Festival, Bon Odori will be since many years ago but couldn’t realize it until this year… the 31st Bon Odori which held at the usual place, Panasonic Sports Stadium, Shah Alam.

Thanks to my ex-colleague, Chengni who asked me along to be the volunteer of this event so that I could finally have a feel on how merry it was. Also, thanks to my dear friend, I who picked me up from office + sent me to the venue after my half-day work and lunch together; where I then met up with Chengni + the other members of her group, Chengyi, Cadry, Janet + Lance and had another “tea-time bento” together before we started our “job” of the day.

Our task is to distribute the Uchiwa to guests at the main entrance. The Uchiwa, or more known as “fan” is the essential tool of the main dance event where dancer will sway the Uchiwa along with dance movements. These Uchiwas have a standard design; with 31st Bon Odori 2007 logo on 1 side and the other side is designed according to the sponsoring company such as Honda, Sushi-King, Mitsubishi, Aeon, Perodua, Gatsby etc…

We managed to walk around the complex and tried to buy some food after we finished the Uchiwa distribution task, but we couldn’t get any food to fill our stomach at the end of the walk because all the stalls were too crowded! : S When the event ended about 9:30pm+ and the crowd started to leave, we also decided to leave the venue. We then traveled a short distance to a mamak nearby and had our "dinner” at supper time before waved goodbye to each other + head back home. Though tired but a great experience… Thanks everyone... : D

Sing K With Bro Stephen… @ 13/7/2007

It has been along time I didn’t have any karaoke session with my MIS buddies liao…So, in conjunction to bro Stephen’s birthday around the corner, we had a sing k + dinner buffet session at Red Box, Sunway Pyramid on this date. As usual, sing k is always a no big deal to most of the staff who works in MIS Dept be it currently / before ( yup, yes... i'm referring to me... : P ), especially to bro Stephen who has been known as “SP’s Jacky Cheung” since many years ago. Despite than bro Stephen, it was also a surprise that even the newly hired / most junior Joseph is also a singer… who sometime composes funny songs with his own lyrics too, ahemmm… We had a great k time together and only called off the k session after we finished bro Stephen’s birthday cake brought and sponsored by Algy. : )

Sg. Chilling Chill Outing @ 8/7/2007

This is the 2nd time I went to Sg Chiling, Kuala Kubu Bharu with SSRC… We found the sanctuary has been beautified a lot with gazebo and proper bridging being built at the entrance of the sanctuary, which has lessen 1 time of river crossing. I can still remember the 1st time I pay a visit to this place was back in year 2004 where we need to have 6 times river crossing before we reached the waterfall… this has also reminded me 4 of my buddies who has left the company… I do miss them though I still have a bunch of fun colleagues around and joint the outing.

Besides than my fellow colleagues, I also invited and brought along my friend, SH since she did not go back to hometown. We mixed around, had our fun time together, enjoyed the scenery feel, breathe the breeze cooling air, loitered + played around, soaked our body into the cold shivering water and enjoyed our light + easy to cook food… After all the happy + funny moments, we then trekked back under the rain to get our transport and had our dinner at Ulu Yam before we headed back to SP’s HQ and dismissed. Again… this is another fun outing for us in SSRC. : D

After a year of rest, I’m involved in this year’s charity event again… Gary is still my partner this year and we had our own sweet time in timing + rehearsing the sound tech of the show simply because we were already well-trained… How about the live? Of course good loh, we are pro what… hehe… paiseh paiseh… : P

Good job to all performers, technical crews, the chorographer, Pat and not forgetting my partner, Gary for another successful show performance serving the good cause... b^.^d

My B’day Dinner… @ 1/7/2007

Woke up around 2pm today, have my cloths ironed whilst sms chat with my friend, I where we then decided to go for shopping at 1U, Bandar Utama. I picked me up about 5pm+ and we only reach 1U around 6pm to start my shopping spree. While I was happily enjoying buying cloths and passing those “winning products” to my temporary “ah sei”, I… I received calls from my family, well, what else other than a sumptuous b’day dinner treat… Hehe… : P

We had several call chats to decide on where to have the dinner treat… and finally, Karen chosen the Eric’s Seafood & Steamboat Restaurant ( or better known as Super Trio Seafood & Steamboat Restaurant 奖门人海鲜火锅酒家 ) at the Hartamas Shopping Centre, Sri Hartamas with Eric Tsang, the Super Trio host as main ambassador and supported by other Super Trio’s hosts.

Well, I invited my “ah sei”, I to join the dinner since he sent me over to Plaza Damas after the short shopping spree… Ahemm, don’t think so much, this serve no obligation and it is just merely a dinner treat only cause I don’t have anything to pay I companionship… Hahaha… : D After all, my family is friendly, courtesy and welcoming too… They are open-minded enough to welcome any of our family member’s friends for dinner. The food and environment were so-so only; imagine that we have to change our table because the 1st table we sat was conquered by lots of small cockroaches once the steamboat cooking stove is lighted… Yup! Those small cockroaches crawled out from the portable cooking stove on table, where diners sitting next to us even tried to record video with their mobile phone for YouTube but failed to do so because they crawl too fast.

Overall, it was an enjoyable dinner session with my family. For those who have yet to visit this restaurant before, you can try out the environment. As for me, no 2nd time on my own expenses cause the food + services was not valued for the money you spent and you only pay for the name of Eric Tsang ( 曾志伟 ), Super Trio + the Hongkie environment. Last, thanks to I again for sent me home after the dinner...

Mich’s House Warming Party @ 30/6/2007

Mich held her house warming party today… I really appreciate her for keeping my day filled with program so that I won’t feel sad + lonely. Walked down to her condo at noon time and met Long’s car passing by, so I hoped up to his car instead of walking… Hehe… : P The unit was nicely renovated which I guess Mich + Colbert has putted a lot of effort + $ on it... After hanging around for couple of hours, I then head back home to shower for the 2nd round, sing k + dinner buffet at Galaxy Puchong… Thanks everyone for celebrating my b’day with me… sob sob sob… :’(

We then went for another movie of the month, Die Hard 4 later at nite on July 1, 0040hrs at IOI Mall, Puchong. The movie is good ( though I still like Transformers the most... ) where Bruce Willis can still survive even after several heavy actions, he is really hard to die… : P As soon as the movie ended, we head home for a good rest, after all… we are tired after a day long program. Thanks everyone for the day again… : )

A Sad B’day… @ 29/6/2007

Thanks to my colleagues, Algy, bro Stephen + Janice for spending their valuable time to buy me a sumptuous Japanese meal at 1 of my favorite Japanese Restaurant, Naniwa Shabu-Shabu & Sushi, Bandar Puteri on this special but also a sad day of mine… A day which I’m supposed to be grateful + happy to have them around to celebrate my day but I cried while I drove all the way back from Setia Alam to Bandar Puteri to attend to this special dinner arrangement by Algy. Reasons being… I recalled those bitter sweet memories with Alv… and how he surprised me on my last b’day… again… :’(

I ordered my favorite Sashimi Bento Set + a dozen of salmon sashimi and had 3 hours chit chatting session with them to catch up with each others updates before we called off the dinner session. I then, return home to have my shower before heading out again for my long awaited Transformers movie session with my friends I, SH and M on June 30, 0140hrs at 1U New Wing of which this is also the most late midnight show that I ever had… The movie has reminded me my younger years and the nite has also marked another new chapter of my life. Thanks to I, SH and M for their companionship so that my b’day is not alone… Love ya… : )
